2008年饥饿30完美落幕!
30-Hour Famine 2008 - an all worth it finale!
大会首届的26+4DIY模式迷你营会获得了不俗的反应，且终于在风雨中圆满结束。此营会吸引了逾7,500名西马各地的饥饿勇士积极参与。
星期天的饥饿倒数活动,也是大会首次面对充满挑战性的户外活动。面对着倾盆大雨, 饥饿勇士及天使们不惧风雨来侵，饥寒交迫的情况下坚持到最后。这一场雨不仅浇不息在场勇士们的热情,反而更加强了伙伴们万众一心希望将活动完成的决心。现场所看到的，人们都展现了积极、忍耐、相互鼓励、以及守望相助的精神,无不让大会深表感动。
对于节目临时更动，大家更是以最满分的配合及互动来回报,世界宣明会甚为感激。倘若当中引起任何的不便, 谨在此致以万二分的歉意。
通过截至8月25日的统计, 至今我们的募捐款项已突破一百万令吉。感谢联办单位星洲日报、精英大学，媒体伙伴988、Red FM和8度空间，以及来自各地的营会、志工、大使天使、艺人、表演团体、赞助商、媒体单位及所有支持饥饿三十的朋友们。感谢您以发热的生命, 为贫穷无助的一群带来丰盛的未来。

 Our heartfelt thank you to all of you, for being part of this year's 30-hour Famine. This year, more than 7,500 participants took part in the fight against poverty – all tirelessly fasted and were actively involved in the running of their respective 'Do-It-Yourself' camps. Kudos to all! Over 4,000 campers made their way to the Famine Countdown at the National Hockey Stadium, Bukit Jalil. The Countdown was a splash -- literally. In spite of the pouring rain and occasional thunder, all were in high spirits and enthusiastically persevered to the final hour. It was totally awesome!
Our hats off to our 500 volunteers! From rummaging the garbage for recyclables to the management of programme, all of you diligently shared your time and effort in making this event a success. From being under the blazing sun to the pouring rains, all of you were immovable. Terima Kasih!!
 We also would like to convey our heartiest thanks to the co-organisers, Sin Chew Daily and HELP University College, whom have been journeying with 30-Hour Famine these many years. Also our gratitude to all the media partners Radio 988, Red FM and 8TV, as well as the corporate sponsors and partners. The ambassadors, Famine angels, artistes and performers have also contributed much time and effort. THANK YOU for contributing your bit in making a difference.
Together, not only have we raised the RM1 million target fund in aid of beneficiaries internationally and locally, but we have indeed demonstrated the true meaning of "You've Got the Power."
